I just found these photos tonight from Sofia's costume party at Sprouts Academy. Oh how I wish I could freeze time. My sweet little butterfly princess who tells me at least five times a day that she loves me. It just doesn't get any better. I love her.

I'm so glad I saved all my long skirts because there were several times I really thought seriously about sending them off to the Goodwill Gods..but now all the cool kids are saying they're back! So I guess i'll be cool for a minute...and then..back to leggings.

Impromptu Art Project

While browsing through an awesomely inspiring blog the other night (www.youaretheriver.com) I came across a really cool piece of art by a graphic designer in Germany. About to press "complete order" on my computer, I instead walked upstairs to Sofia and Johnny's easel, tore off a piece of paper and started writing the phrase I loved so much..I did about 5 variations of it and I'm kinda feeling like it might make me happy somewhere in the house for a while. White Ikea frame and at the end of a hallway maybe? I don't know. I do weird things when John works late.

Tiny Toms

I tried everything in my power to get Sofia to like these today while shoe shopping. She would have nothing to do with them. Instead, we walked out with a pair of pink (surprise, surprise) Chucks. Cute, but these are insane. I think i'll order them anyway and bribe her with popsicles all summer. Pure sweetness.
